Tea making is an art which can only be only be acquired by practical experience. It entails five different processes all of which require considerable experience of manufacture and close and skilled supervision, if the best quality teas are to be produced. The five processes are:-

1. Withering.
2. Rolling.
3. Fermentation.
4. Firing or drying.
5. Sifting and Grading.
